Rachaelle Reid, RCSWI

I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who works with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, low self-worth, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions.

My style is supportive, practical, and direct. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard and understood, but also a place where you learn something about yourself and leave with tools you can actually use. I help clients identify patterns, understand what triggers them, challenge beliefs that may be keeping them stuck, and build healthier ways of responding to difficult situations.

I have a strong interest in trauma-informed care and in helping people understand how painful experiences can continue to affect self-esteem, relationships, emotional reactions, and decision-making. When appropriate, I incorporate Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a trauma-focused approach that can help reduce the emotional distress connected to difficult or disturbing memories.

I also frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychoeducation, problem-solving, strengths-based approaches, emotional regulation skills, and practical coping strategies. I enjoy helping clients take what they learn in therapy and apply it to real-life situations involving relationships, boundaries, work, family, independence, and self-confidence.

I especially enjoy working with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or tired of repeating the same patterns. Many of the clients I work best with know that something needs to change but may not yet know how to make that change happen.

My goal is to provide a space that feels safe, honest, and encouraging. I will meet you where you are while also helping you look at what may be getting in your way. Therapy does not have to be about having all the answers. Sometimes it begins with understanding yourself differently, learning new ways to cope, and taking one manageable step at a time.
